HYDERABAD: Web-based travel provider CoYatri.com unveiled its Android application recently, thanks to its increased user demand.

This intercity car pooling service is based on the concept of sharing a vacant seat on long drives and is popular among the IT circle in the city. Reviews on their website reveal that the service is specifically helpful for the last-minute travel planners. 

This app includes all the features in the website and can be accessed by signing up using either Facebook or Google Plus. It follows a step by step pattern making it user friendly.

Based in Gachibowli, CoYatri.com was started by two young tech-savvy graduates – Pradeep Enugula, and Krishna Vedula and their services pan India.   

How it works?

CoYatri.com functions as a meeting point for passengers and car owners. For instance, if one has to travel from Chennai to Cuddapah, one needs to sign up and then select the desired route. The website then provides the cost of the journey along with details of the car owner. After this, the owner and the traveller and take their journey forward.

Pricing

CoYatri.com gives the car owner ultimate freedom to fix the fare. A comparative chart regarding the costs of all means of transport is displayed.

Safety

Once a user signs up, the website links social network profiles of the car owner and co-passengers thus providing an opportunity for the user to evaluate the safety of trip. Pictures of the car, number plate and driving license of the driver are also uploaded by the seat provider. Women drivers also have the opportunity to select women passengers to ride along.
