Hyderabad HC Advocates Bid Farewell to Justice Subhash Reddy

HYDERABAD:  The Bar and the Bench of the Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday bid farewell to the senior-most judge, Justice R Subhash Reddy, on his elevation as Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court.

Justice Subhash Reddy is expected to assume charge as the CJ of Gujarat High Court on February 13.

Reddy was born in 1957 in an agriculturist’s family at Kamaram village in Chinna Shankarampet mandal in Medak. After completing schooling in Shankarampet, he moved to Hyderabad for higher education. He obtained his law degree from the University College of Law of Osmania University and enrolled as an advocate on the rolls of the Bar Council of AP on October 30, 1980 and joined the chamber of Justice B Subhashan Reddy. He actively practised in constitutional, civil, criminal and all other branches of law. Besides, he was elected unanimously as president of AP High Court Advocates’ Association for 2001-2002.  He was elevated as additional judge of the AP HC in 2002 and sworn in permanent judge of the High Court in 2004.
