HYDERABAD: Aditya Shrivastava (32), the software engineer who went missing before boarding a bus in Bengaluru three days ago was found by the police in New Delhi last night. His friends posted on social media that he was safe.
The Hyderabad police who investigated the case have come to know that the techie had been having some personal problems.
Gachibowli sub-inspector Rajendra Kodati said a police team comprising of Hyderabad and Bengaluru police traced Aditya Shrivastava to New Delhi last night, Oct. 12. "Immediately, we took him into custody and informed his parents in Hyderabad and friends in Bengaluru. He will be handed over to his parents," the sub-inspector said.
Police stated leads to Shrivastava's wherebouts were drawn from the CCTV footage recorde at the Art of Living ashram in Bengaluru and trace was made of the techie's mobile phone. Based on the footage and after questioning the some of his friends, police deduced that Aditya Shrivastava travelled to New Delhi instead of going to Hyderabad as he had told his fiancée Kritika Saxena.
Inspector Rajendra said, "Initially, we suspected that Aditya might had been kidnapped. But we found that he went to Delhi of his own volition."
Aditya's brother Akshay Shrivastava posted on his Facebook wall confirming that the cops had traced his brother. "My brother is safe," he posted.
Aditya had called his family members in Hyderabad on Oct 10 and informed them that he would be coming to Hyderabad the next day and texted his fiancee that he had already boarded a Hyderabad-bound bus. But his phone was switched off thereafter.
