Excise department on hot trail of Hyderabad youth

A Hyderabad-based student, who was allegedly active in dealing with film actors and children of big shots during drug trafficking, is absconding since the arrest of Calvin Mascarenhas.

HYDERABAD: A Hyderabad-based student, who was allegedly active in dealing with film actors and children of big shots during drug trafficking, is absconding since the arrest of Calvin Mascarenhas. The student, identified as Navyanth, is a resident of Secunderabad.

According to sources, Navyanth had maintained a separate gang alike Calvin, who is the alleged kingpin of the drug racket. “Most of the victims lured by Navyanth were women and young girls who used to trade their nude pictures with Navyanth, who, in turn, shared them with Calvin for drugs sometimes. He also trapped students,” said sources.

With the crackdown on drug peddlers by the Special Investigation Team, a panicked Navyanth fled the city. A team of Excise department officials are on a lookout for him, sources added.
