IMD issues thunderstorm warning across Telangana

HYDERABAD: Though overcast skies brought relief from the scorching sun on Sunday, the citizens experienced a very humid day.  While the temperatures hovered around 31-35 degree Celsius throughout the day as recorded by the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), humidity levels were recorded at 50-60%.  

Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm warning for Monday.
The department in its statement stated that thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds are likely to occur at isolated places across the districts of Telangana.

Across various circles in GHMC, humidity levels were more than 52%. Maitrivanam in Khairatabad circle witnessed the maximum temperature on Sunday with the mercury levels hitting 37.9 degrees Celsius, according to the TSDPS.

BHEL, Musheerabad, Chandulal Baradari, Balanagar, and Malkajgiri recorded the highest temperature on Sunday at more than 37 degrees Celsius. A minimum temperature of 23.8 degrees Celsius was recorded at Moulali during the early hours of Sunday.
