Owners to be booked for letting cattle stray on Hyderabad Outer Ring Road

HYDERABAD: Complaints from ORR users on Twitter have forced the Cyberabad traffic police to impose restrictions on entry of cattle on the outer ring road in the commissionerate.

Cyberabad DCP SM Vijay Kumar on Tuesday issued a notification stating: “Public are requested to not to allow their cattle to come on to the ORR and strict action will be taken against the owners. Vehicle drivers are advised to raise alerts about such stray cattle on ORR and inform the police over WhatsApp ( 9490617444) or phone (8500411111) and also through Facebook and Twitter handles.”

The police have said that cases would be booked against owners if their cattle enter the ORR. Police found that some persons were cutting the fences used to prevent illegal entry onto the expressway and taking their cattle for grazing.

RTC driver booked for using phone while driving

An RTC driver working at BHEL depot has been booked for using a mobile phone while driving. Srinivas, who was driving the bus, was caught by Kukatpally sub-inspector (traffic) K Narasimha.

The bus was heading towards Punjagutta when it was stopped near Nizampet junction. The SI issued a challan to the driver with a penalty of Rs1,000.
