HYDERABAD: The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, celebrated the International Yoga Day for the first time on Thursday. A majority of Indian students as well as students from 23 foreign countries,teaching and non-teaching staff took part in the event. EFLU facilitated a 90 minute yoga session. Meanwhile, the participants expressed their desire to continue practising yoga.
Several other attendees felt that the event marked the beginning of a healthy journey and hoped that yoga can help them change their physical and mental capacities to prepare the mind and body for long-term health. Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor of the EFL UniversityProf E Suresh Kumar congratulated all the participants for joining the session. He advised them to practise yoga for a healthy mind and body and contribute in building a healthy nation.
