HYDERABAD: It is likely, that very soon, some of the popular parks in the city will house special rooms for mothers, so that they can breastfeed their babies in private.

If things go as per directions were given to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) by principal secretary of MA&UD department Arvind Kumar on Twitter, mothers can spend time in parks without worry.

The officer floated the possibility of setting up rooms to GHMC after a citizen who spotted a mother feeding her child in public in Lumbini Park wrote to the MA&UD Minister KTR.  GHMC identified three parks,  NTR Gardens, Lumbini Park and Sanjeevaiah Park which will soon have breastfeeding centres.
