HYDERABAD: The final phase of the Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TGEAPCET) 2026 counselling concluded with 75,054 engineering seats allotted across 176 institutions, while 19,102 seats remained vacant out of 94,156 available seats for the 2026-27 academic year.
According to the Commissioner of Technical Education, 35,096 candidates exercised web options during the final phase, submitting over 11.06 lakh choices. Of the total allotments, 19,811 candidates secured upgraded (sliding) seats, while 3,281 received allotments for the first time. Another 51,962 candidates retained their earlier allotments. Additionally, 5,771 candidates secured seats under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) quota.
Private engineering colleges accounted for the highest admissions, filling 69,169 of 86,119 seats, while private universities recorded a 99% seat occupancy. Overall, engineering colleges achieved an 80% seat fill rate.
