How many of you have already planned Christmas celebrations at home? While many have already set the tree and finalised the menu, a few other find this the best time to embark on a tour to celebrate the holiday week or plan a family get-together.

And, the rest are stuck at home. So, for those who are hesitant to celebrate it alone at home and has no special plans as of yet, the city hotels have offered the best options.

Many restaurants have organised special parties and buffet lunches and dinners for Christmas and New Year.

‘Le Meridien’ Kochi has plans to make this Christmas a special event for children. They have organised ‘Jingle Jam’, a kids’ exclusive DJ festive zone on December 22 which features child DJ Celine.

The children can enjoy with activities like face painting and tattoo art while parents who accompany them get to sharpen their culinary skills at the chef’s merry table.

The hotel has also made arrangements to take care of the children.

The gala celebrations at ‘Holiday Inn’ will begin on Christmas Eve with a lavish dinner buffet at ‘Masala’, the multi-cuisine restaurant, with unlimited mocktails and a complimentary pint of beer for each guest. There is also a special Christmas brunch and dinner.

A live band will add to the zeal and energy and keep the guests entertained. You can ring in 2013 with utmost fervour at Holiday Inn.

One can choose between a New Year eve gala dinner or a candlelight dinner. However, Christmas is a bit desi at ‘Beaumonde the Fern’ with ‘unlimited kebabs and parathas’ being the highlight of the season.

Specially crafted for kebab lovers, the unlimited menu includes a glass Of red wine and about 75 different kinds of kebabs in both vegetarian and nonvegetarian, besides an assortment of parathas.

For meat-eaters, the choice gets better with not just nonvegetarian kebabs to gorge on, but also a select choice of vegetarians ones as well.

The hotel is set to rock the New Year eve with Bollywood-themed DJ nights and candlelight dinners.

At ‘Avenue Regent’ too, Christmas is all about food and music. A cake and hamper festival is going on at the hotel and will continue till January 5.

As part of the fete, the hotel will have a Christmas Eve dinner at springs Restaurant. The special season buffet will extend from December 26 to 31. On December 24 and 25th there will carols and a piano concert at the lobby level restaurant.

One has to book in advance to take part in the celebrations.

Leading up to the Christmas celebrations, the Taj Gateway Hotel offers a series of themed-buffet dinner at ‘The Bubble Café’ starting from December 20 till 28.

The Bubble Café also offers a special Christmas eve dinner buffet with select beverage on offer.
