KOCHI :The Kerala High Court on Monday dismissed a petition filed by the parents of Shari, the Kiliroor sex scam victim, seeking a reprobe into the death of their daughter. Justice Bhavadasan dismissed the petition saying that all the allegations had been considered by the trial court and were found baseless. It is not necessary to repeat the arguments, the court held.

The petitioners challenged the order of Thiruvananthapuram CBI Special Court dismissing a plea seeking further investigation in the case. The petitioners argued that the contradiction in the reports regarding the copper content in Shari’s blood was not considered by the lower court.

According to them, the investigation was perfunctory and tainted. They also said that there was medical negligence from the part of the hospitals. However, the court held that the trial court had considered all these facts. The court also rejected the plea that a different team of the CBI consisting of a senior efficient officer be entrusted with the further investigation.
