KOCHI: Leading bulb and lamp manufacturing company Surya Roshni Limited has won an award for energy-saving lamps. Surya Roshni Limited chairman J P Agarwal received the award from Union Minister of Energy. The company claimed that Surya CFL bulbs save energy by 80 per cent.
Also, Surya had entered into the world of LED lamps. “The company has started producing 3.5W, 5W and 7W LED bulbs. These lamps save almost 96 per cent of electricity as compared to the other bulbs,” company authorities claimed.
