Express News Service

The Kerala High Court on Friday disposed of a writ petition against the move to hike bus fare in the state.

A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Manjula Chellur and Justice A M Shaffique held that the sub- committee of the state Cabinet should look into the objections raised by the petitioner while taking a final decision on the recommendations of the Justice M Ramachandran committee report.

The court pointed out that it was too premature to say what would be the outcome till a decision was taken on it.

According to petitioners they were not heard, before preparing a final report by the committee on the petitions made by them. They pointed out that the committee had come to the conclusion on the basis of the misleading data provided by the Transport Department.

The court said that the committee could look into the representation.
