Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya emerge victorious

Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya bagged the first prize for the district-level ‘Arogya Tharakam’ quiz organised by the Natioanl Rural Health Mission at the SRV School in Kochi on Saturday. Bhavan’s Elamakkara and the SNGHSS, North Paravoor, won the second and third prizes.

Six teams participated in the event. Inaugurating the event, Excise and Ports Minister K Babu said that events like this would bring about more awareness on health and cleanliness at the community level.

“Kerala has always been in the forefront when it comes to the cleanliness brought about by education.

This has helped in individual cleanliness,” said the Minister.

All six teams would avail of a one year scholarship. The first, second and third prize winners also received a cash prize of Rs 10,000, Rs 7,500 and Rs 6,000.
