Ombudsman writes to CM

Express News Service

MNREGS Ombudsman for Ernakulam,  K Chenthamarakshan, has written a letter to Chief Minister informing him about the corrupt practices of the MNREGS functionaries in connection with the implementation of various projects in the Varappetty gram panchayat.

He complained that the panchayat authorities misbehaved while conducting an inspection.

“The panchayat president created an unpleasant scene and wanted me to prevent the complainant from perusing the registers and documents of the panchayat’s MGNREGS wing.

He left the hall stating that the Ombudsman will spoil the implementation of the MGNREGS projects,” he wrote.

In his letter, he requested the CM to take action against the law breaker.
