Express News Service

This is an attempt to give back  whatever God has given to us, said musician Dakshinamoorthy at the launch of the audio CD on devotional songs of Lord Guruvayoorappan. The CD, Thirumudipeeli, a rare joint venture between veteran musician Dakshinamoorthy and singer K J Yesudas, was released in Kochi on Thursday.  K J Yesudas told reporters  that to be a part of the venture and to associate with a personality like Dakshinamoorthy is a great blessing.

"There are no words to describe the greatness of this personality or measure the depth   of his music. Measuring the depth of music was attempted by my father and now   I am   trying to do the same,”  said Yesudas. The devotional songs have been sung by K J Yesudas and his son Vijay Yesudas.

The lyrics are by Pallippuram Mohanachandran. The CD is a compilation of nine songs, Harikamboji Ragam, Adiyanteswaradakshina, Bakthiyilmuzhukumbole, Manjapattaniyikkum, Ennekandittum, Malayalabhashathan, Aajathinadwaitham, Krishnagathakal and Maya Madhava.
