The Ernakulam Judicial First Class Magistrate Court on Tuesday dismissed the bail applications of five Sri Lankan fishermen arrested by the BSF from Lakshadweep.
Magistrate V G Anupama dismissed the bail pleas of Rajendar, Jayasingha, Kaluthurai Shanmugharaj, Bayagula Prasanna Jayaraj and Baravilla Chandranovin, all natives of Alathura in Sri Lanka.
The five were arrested after they were found in suspicious circumstances while fishing near Minicoy Island.
