Narayaneeya devotees and acharyas are not two, but one and the same component of creation, said Swami Bhoomananada Theertha at the ‘Akilabharata Narayaneeya Satha Kodi Archana’ held here at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium on Sunday.
The ‘satha kodi archana’ was performed on 16,008 idols of Lord Krishna, as part of the ‘Narayaneeya Mahotsavam’ that concluded on Sunday, at Pavakkulam Mahadeva temple.
The rituals marked the conclusion of 1,032 ‘Narayaneeya laksharchanas’ held across 14 districts of the state. Narayaneeya acharyas were honoured at the function.
The Narayaneeyam was recited under the guidance of Brahmasri Narayanan Namboothiri.
Ambalappuzha Vijayakumar performed the ‘sopana sangeetham’ and Ankita performed the ‘kathaprasangam’. Brahmasri Oravankara Achuthan Namboothiri and Prof M V Vasudevan Potti spoke. GCDA chairman N Venugopal, Deputy Mayor B Bhadra, actor Suresh Gopi, singer Biju Narayanan and N Gopalakrishnan, among others, were present.
