Tickets for the second One-day International between India and England were sold out like hot cakes by Monday afternoon.

Sales through Federal Bank in Ernakulam and at other districts were completed three days prior to the match. Cricket fans were frantically trying to lap up all the tickets available till the last moment.

Though India lost the series opener at Rajkot, the fans expect that the team will bounce back at the second ODI that will be played at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium on Tuesday.

The  excited fans, who visited the stadium on Monday to have a glimpse of their favourite cricketers at the practice session, exuded confidence that the home team would emerge victorious.

“We support our team in good and bad times. Team India will reply for the first match’s defeat in Kochi,” said Vishnu Prabhakar, a student of Ernakulam Law College. This will be the  first-ever Day and Night match that will be played in Kochi.

“It will be a great experience to watch the players in action under floodlights. It is like enjoying a second show movie,” said Sanjay Johnson, another student.
