International Women’s Day was observed at the Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory (NPOL). Child psychiatrist Dr Sitalakshmi George spoke on the topic ‘Parenting: Present Day Challenges’. She emphasised on the need for responsible parenting.
‘Suman’, a souvenir on women, was released. Mahila Kalyan Manch (MKM) of NPOL Kochi unit would organise a programme on Saturday to observe the day. Justice K K Usha would be the chief guest. Kathakali would be performed by Renjini Suresh.
