To provide valuable learning aid for students, including research scholars, the History Department of Maharaja’s College has published four books that comprises essays and papers presented by renowned social scientists and historians over the years.

Published under the editorship of Assistant Professor of History  Department Vinodkumar Kallolickal, the books take a critical approach on various aspects, including education, polity, medicine and society that marked the bygone years.

The Journal of History and Society, the first volume in the trilogy, covers various articles by historians like Rajan Gurukkal and Dr K Rajasekharan.

The book touches on various subjects including the genesis of human rights in India, the social customs of Nair community and the growth of Ayurveda over the years.

Medicine and Society is a collection of essays that provide an overview of the social implications of clinical systems. The essays discuss how the present market economy has robbed modern medicines of humanitarian values and ethos.
