Three-day Museum Fest commences

The three-day ‘Museum Fest-2013’ organised by Madhavan Nair Foundation started on Friday in Edapally.

The major attraction of the inaugural day was the screening of English play ‘Romeo and Juliet: No strings attached’ by Tahatto, a theatre company from Bangalore. This play was shown in the form of puppetry.On Saturday, ‘Yashodhara’, a dance theatre production scripted, directed and designed by Gowri Ramnarayanan and featuring Bharatanatyam dancer Mythili Prakash and Carnatic vocalist Amritha Murali, will be screened. Narrated in English, Hindi and Pali, ‘Yashodhara’ will bring to life a 20th century Indian classic.

The third day will have a performance called ‘Stories in a song’. Conceived and researched by Shubha Mudgal and Aneesh Pradhan, this programme is a collection of several musical forms like the Kairi, Thumri and modern day remixes. The programme will commence at 6.30 pm on all days.
