A special Onam sale of handicraft products, including clothes, has begun at Kairali Showroom here. The Kerala State Handicraft Development Corporation showcases traditional hand-woven clothes from Orissa. Designer saris, skirts, tops, kantha work (Hyderabad) fabrics, pearl jewellery, khadi and handloom saris and Aranmula mirrors are available at the expo. The fair will be open from 9 am to 8 pm till Saturday.
Homemakers Fest Begins
The Branded Company Exhibition ‘Onam Trade Fair’ is attracting crowd at Ernakulatappan Ground. There are a total of 160 stalls, including those of banks and central-state government, in the expo. The stalls include electronics, home appliances, handloom, interior and exterior expo, kitchen expo, fashion, health and beauty, kids items, furniture expo and much more.
Bio gas plants,solar panels and Kutthambulli saris are the highlights of the exhibition.
The expo is open from from 11 am to 8.30 pm and ends on Saturday.
