Personalised Stamps Launched

The post office at Fort Kochi on Thursday launched My Stamp, a novel service of personalised stamps.

KOCHI: The post office at Fort Kochi on Thursday launched ‘My Stamp’, a novel service of personalised stamps.  Ernakulam postal division senior superintendent R V Sreekandadas launched the service by giving the first sheet of My Stamp to Corporation councillor Antony Kureethara.

In a gesture of honouring the girl child, two kindergarten students of the St Mark’s School were also given complimentary sheets of ‘My Stamp’, each bearing the photograph of the respective student.

One ‘My Stamp’ sheet, which consists of 12 stamps, costs Rs 300.

The customers can also choose the picture of animals, birds, historical sites and logos  alongside the theme of their choice from the categories available at the philatelic bureau - Taj Mahal, Fairy Queen, the St Francis Church, Lilly, Dalia, Greetings etc.

An application along with an identity card of the person is what is required to apply for ‘My Stamp’.
