The two-day-old container lorry strike at Vallarpadom ended on Wednesday as the ban on the movement of container and trailer vehicles on national highway was withdrawn at a meeting convened by District Collector M G Rajamanikam.
Traffic was reinstated in the night. The order to ban the movement of trailer vehicles on the national highway from Kundannoor to Kalamassery as part of traffic reforms, has been relaxed until March 5.
The restriction will be applicable from 8 am to 10 am and 4 pm to 6pm.
