Farewell Accorded to Fr Alathara

KOCHI: Fr Stephen Alathara, the relinquished KCBC deputy secretary, was accorded a warm farewell at the POC centre in Kochi on Sunday. He had been serving as the deputy secretary of KCBC for the past eight years.

Fr Mathai Kadavil who presided over the function said that Fr Stephen Alathara has been instrumental in coordinating the activities of KCBC and POC.

Fr Alathara in his reply speech said that every prelate including Mar Varkey Cardinal Vithayathil and other priests had helped him carry out his duties.

KCBC Family Commission secretary Fr Jose Kottayil, Media Commission secretary Fr Joli Vadakkan and Bible Commission secretary Fr Joshi Mayyattil also spoke.
