KOCHI: Keralites are better art lovers, compared to people in the other states of the country, said artist Namboothiri.

“In other parts of the country, only people living in cities are interested in art. In Kerala, however, there  are art lovers in all parts of the State,” he said. Namboothiri was speaking at a function organised by the H & C Readers Forum to honour him, prior to his 90th birthday that falls on  September 13. “There is a talent in every individual, which many go unrecognised. That could be the talent for drawing or singing,” he said, adding that he never felt that is was old.

“I am happy that people know me and they enjoy my drawings,” he said.
