KOCHI:SCMS Cochin School of Business is organising a two-day lab oriented faculty development programme on ‘Research Methodology and Statistical Tools Analysis’ at its campus on June 26 and 27.

Acknowledging the role of research process in academics and professional decision making, the programme is based on a blend of high quality interactive lectures and hands on practical training on statistical software packages such as SPSS/MS-Excel/ GNU PSPP.

The workshop will be led by K Kalyanaraman, former professor and Head of the  Department of Statistics, University of Kerala.  Faculty members of SCMS including S Srikrishnan, Department of Systems and Operations, Sreekumar B Pillai, Department of Marketing, P Neelakantan, Department of Finance, Jisha J, Department of Systems and Operations, Poornima Narayan, MBA Department,  are the resource persons.

The sessions to be held are Research Process and Research Design, Literature Review, Data Design, Questionnaire Design, Data Preparation, Descriptive Statistics, Validity and Reliability Analysis Univariate /Bi Variate Statistics, Multivariate Analysis Demonstration of SEM using AMOS of the workshop.

This workshop will provide value for research scholars who are in the preliminary stage of their research program those research scholars at the final stages of their research process and wishing to attain higher levels of involvement in the statistical analysis of their primary data. Faculty members who wish to enhance their skills in the application of statistical software packages and improve their research orientation for the purpose of producing superior paper publications can participate in the two-day workshop.

Application forms should be sent along with the DD of Rs 2,000 latest by June 22.
