City Schools Fare Well in CBSE Plus Two Examination

KOCHI: Schools in Kerala have come out in flying colours in the All-India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE)  conducted by the CBSE in March this year, by recording the highest pass percentage of 95.41. Schools in the Ernakulam district performed exceptionally well. As much as 60 per cent of the 85 CBSE schools in the district recorded 100 per cent pass. “We are very happy with the performance of the students here. We should consider the fact that they secured such good marks through sheer hard work, not with any moderation or grace mark,” said Indira Rajan, general secretary of the Kerala CBSE School Management Association.

Al-Ameen Public School,Edappally, secured 100 per cent pass, with Amrin Kareem,Ajay Ashok, Fathima S, P  Karthika Mohan, Rahila Sulaiman, Muhsina Mashood and Najuma Mohammed Ali getting A1 in all subjects. All the 64 students from Sree Narayana Vidyapeedam Public School, Tripunithura, passed with high marks. Rajagiri Public School, Kalamassery, saw 100 per cent pass with all the 126 students passing. Choice School,Tripunithura,  also secured 100 per cent pass. Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Tripunithura, secured 100 per cent results, with Ajay S Nair topping in the Science stream with 96.8 per cent marks and Aswathi S with coming first in the Commerce stream with 95.2 per cent marks.

Rajagiri Christu Jayanthi Public School also recorded  100 per cent pass. All the students of Christava Mahilalayam public School passed  with distinction. Campion School, Edapally, recorded cent per cent pass, with Athira K scoring 96.2 per cent in the Science stream, and Ashhad Z scoring 95 per cent in the Commerce stream. All the schools under Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan secured 100 per cent pass. In the district, the most number of students appeared from  A total of 15 students from Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Girinagar, scored A1.

In Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya, 90 students secured distinction. Of the 71 students from havans Newsprint Vidyalaya, Velloor, who appeared for the exam, 55 secured distinction and 5 secured A1 in  all subjects. Of the 42 students from Bhavans Munshi Vidyashram, Thiruvankulam, 27 students got distinction. Of the 65 students who appeared from Vidyadiraja Vidyalaya Public School, Thripunithura, 5 scored A1 in all subjects.w
