KOCHI: Overuse of feet disregarding the pain affecting the heel and underside could result in rupture of connective tissues (plantar fascia) which support the arch on the bottom of the foot, said Dr Rajiv Shah, president, Indian Foot and Ankle Society.
He was explaining the latest approach and management techniques of Plantar heel pain at the two days advanced Symposium on problems of Foot and Ankle at IMA Hall.
The highlights were the three workshops on Bunion Osteotomy, Calcaneal fractures and Syndesmotic tight rope fixation.
