KOCHI: The Postgraduate and Research Department of Chemistry, Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam, is organising a national seminar on ‘Smart Materials: Theory and Applications’ on December 8 and 9 at the Physics Seminar Hall.


“An important science discipline, materials science deals with the study of materials from the macro to the atomic scale. The effect of structure and chemistry on the properties of materials is a very fundamental aspect in it,” said a press release, adding, “The event will have noted researchers working with smart materials, share their expertise with teachers, research scholars and M Sc students.”

Dr A Ajayaghosh, Director, NIIST, Thiruvanathapuram, will deliver the keynote address.
