KOCHI: The 52nd Annual Conference of the Indian Econometric Society (TIES) will be held at the Indian Institute of Management- Kozhikode (IIM-K) from January 4 to 6. The TIES Conference, a major annual academic event in the country, brings together economists for deliberating, collaborating and sharing their research findings.
Delhi School of Economics director Prof Pami Dua is the conference president.
The main speakers at the conference are Yes Bank chairman Rana Kapoor, JNU former Vice-chancellor Prof B B Bhattacharya and University of Connecticut professor Subhash Ray.
The conference will have several technical sessions. On the occasion, the Mahalanobis Memorial Medal for the year 2014 and the Prof M J Manohar Rao Award for 2014 and 2015 will be presented.
Around 300 research scholars and academics will present papers at the meet. Prof Roy, who is Bachelor of London Cass Business School, will deliver the inaugural address.
The Indian Econometric Society (TIES) is one of the oldest and largest bodies of professional economists, with more than 2,000 members across the country working for the development of econometric methodology and applications.
