KOCHI: Ushering in the Spring Summer 2017 line of various brands, the Lulu Fashion Week that concluded on Sunday set a new trend on the contemporary fashion landscape. “From over 35 brands that were part of this venture, 26 were on the ramp for the second edition of the Lulu Fashion Week,” said Das Damodar, Buying manager, Lulu Group.

“The concept of our show was unique; we took the idea of a fashion show which is mostly a premier event for celebrities out of its zone, and made it accessible to people. At least 10,000 people out of the 1 lakh that visited the mall yesterday must have had an opportunity to watch the show, and it was a huge success,” said Das.

Levi’s, Pepe, Delsey, Scullers and Police were the few brands that took to the ramp. It also saw the presence of the high-end watch collection by Victorinox.

The grand finale also saw Dulquer Salmaan being awarded the ‘Pride of Kerala’ award, Tovino Thomas and Amala Paul bagging the ‘Fashion icon of the year.’

The awards were distributed by directors Sibi Malayil and Shafi, and N A Nishad from the Lulu media group gave away the certificates.
