KOCHI: A 48-year-old man was arrested on charges of molesting a minor girl in a bus at Vypeen on Monday. Haneefa, a native of Edavanakad, was nabbed by the Njarackal police based on a complaint filed by the victim’s mother. The police said the incident occurred on Monday night when the 12-year-old girl and her mother were travelling in a bus at Vypeen. “The accused who was standing near the girl allegedly groped her. The other commuters who noticed the brazen act caught the accused and handed him over to the police,” said a police officer.The accused was booked under the POCSO Act and was sent to judicial custody.
