KOCHI: The Syro-Malabar Church will celebrate 'Dukrana', the feast of St Thomas at Kakkanad St Thomas Mount on Tuesday. Major Archbishop Cardinal Mar George Alencherry will host the festival flag at 9.45 am and deliver the St Thomas Day message at the meeting.
He will also interact with the representatives from various dioceses. Curia chancellor Fr Antony Kollannur, Church Higher Education Commission secretary Fr George Madathiparambil and finance officer Fr Mathew Pulimoottil will speak.
At 11.15 am, Cardinal Alencherry will perform the Holy Mass. Bishop Mar Mathew Vaniyakkizhakkel and curia bishop Mar Sebastian Vaniyapurackal will be present. Cardinal Alencherry will preside over the public meeting in the afternoon, where cardiac surgeon Dr. Jose Chacko Periyapuram will deliver the keynote address.
