Road assistance van catches fire at Tripunithura

Fire and Rescue Service officers said the vehicle caught fire around 11 am while coming to Tripunithura. Two people were there inside the van.

KOCHI:  A road assistance van (RAV) of a private car dealer firm caught fire at Nadakkavu, near Tripunithura while towing another vehicle on Wednesday. Fire and Rescue Service officers said the vehicle caught fire around 11 am while coming to Tripunithura. “Upon spotting the fire, the driver parked the vehicle on the roadside and untied the chain used to tow another vehicle. 
Two other people were also inside the van,” said an officer. Two units of Fire and Rescue Services from Tripunithura reached the spot and doused the fire. The van was completely gutted.
