KOCHI: The Perumbavoor police arrested Faizal, 24, of Thuruthumalil Veettil, Marampilly, who is one of the accused in the assault of Rayamangalam grama panchayat member Base Paul.
According to the police, the accused persons attacked the panchayat member who came to a food court in Perumbavoor, alleging Base’s vehicle was speeding and it overtook the scooter of the accused.
The accused was produced before the Perumbavoor Judicial First Class Magistrate Court which remanded him in judicial custody.
