KOCHI: Matsyafed has chalked out a tourist itinerary with ethnic seafood dishes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, besides backwater activities. The one-day ‘Boomika’ aqua-tourism package will be launched at its aqua tourism centre in Njarakkal on Saturday.
The tour package starts from 8.30 am with a breakfast in a hut set in the middle of the lake at the Njarakkal centre. Visitors can follow up breakfast with water-based activities, including going on peddle boats, rowboats, kayaking, angling or fish netting.
A traditional fish curry lunch will be served at the Palaikari Aqua Tourism Centre with fish netted from the Matsyafed farm. After lunch, tourists can enjoy a houseboat ride.
By evening, visitors will be taken to Malipuram aqua tourism centre which has a mangrove park, followed by a visit to the Chappa beach to see the sunset.
The package costs `4,000 per head, a press release from the District Information Office said.
