IGNOU, KSITM to start courses together

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and the Kerala State IT Mission (KSITM) have joined hands to start courses of international acceptance in Akshaya centres under the KSITM.    Nearly 135 high profile distance education courses will come under this and the project is being implemented through 2,500 Akshaya centres.  The venture aims at taking the advantages of IT to all sections of the society. This would cover certificate courses to PG courses.

 The MoU to this effect was signed by IGNOU Registrar K.Laxman and KSITM director Rathan U.Kelkar at Mascot Hotel here on Saturday. IGNOU director V.N. Rajasekharan Pillai, IT Secretary Ajayakumar, IGNOU Pro-Vice-Chancellor K.R. Srivathsan, IGNOU regional service division director Masood Parveez and Akshaya director C. Sreekumar attended the function.
