THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Playback singer M.G. Sreekumar contributed Rs 2 lakh to the cancer fund collected by the Malankara Service Society, the social service arm of the Thiruvananthapuram Archdiocese of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church. Sreekumar, who has completed 25 years in playback singing, made the donation at a music eve organised at Pattom the other day in connection with the Welcome 2010 Expo. Actor Mohanlal handed over the sum to MSSS director Fr Wilson Thattaruthundil. Actor Mohanlal released the MSSS souvenir on the occasion by handing over a copy to director Sibi Malayil.
