THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The ‘Alumni Database’ of the Business Administration Department of the College of Engineering, Trivandrum (CET) was inaugurated the other day.
The database was inaugurated by M Ayyappan, chairman and managing director of HLL Lifecare Ltd, an alumnus of the Department of Business Administration, CET, during Nostalgia 2010 held on Sunday.
Ayyappan also inaugurated the alumni meet. The database is a centralised repository containing vital information on all the alumni members.
Dr K Gopalakrishnan Nair, who has been serving the college for 50 years, Dr K V Krishnankutty, the senior-most faculty member of the college, and Prof K Viswambaran, the very first Head of the Department of Business Administration, were felicitated at the meet.
Head of Department Prof S Sivakumar, CET PG Dean G L Valsala, UG Dean Dr R Sathish kumar and Alumni secretary Prof V A Santhosh addressed the alumni meet.
A few of the alumni who gathered at the meet shared their experiences and indebtedness to the MBA Department.
A memento was presented to the chief guest, former Principal of CET Dr Ashalatha Thampuran, by Alumni secretary Prof Santhosh V A. The meeting was followed by a fun evening of cultural events.
