THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Suresh Gopi feels that his character in ‘Melvilasom’ is one of the most awaited characters in his film career. "I have been waiting for such a role as the one I did in this film. I think I have done justice to my role,’’ he said while speaking at a news conference of the crew of the film ‘Melvilasom’ on Sunday.

"I spent only seven days at the location. But those days were simply beautiful,’’ added Suresh Gopi.

Soorya Krishnamoorthy also complimented the actor while speaking on the film.

"The film can be considered as a milestone in the career of Suresh Gopi. He has rendered his character of a soldier in the film with all the gravity and intensity,’’ he said.

He also shared how he was apprehensive about the film version of his script. "When Madhav Ramdas first discussed with me about making this film, I had a few demands. I can now say that he has made a beautiful film even while obliging my demands,’’ said Krishnamoorthy. The film also marks the debut of Soorya Krishnamoorthy as a scriptwriter.

Madhav Ramdas, director of the film, said that he had worked hard on the making of this film. ‘’I am happy about the final product,’’ he said.

K Sreenivas, editor of the film, and Salim and Rajendran, the producers, were also present at the news meet.
