THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Association for Travel Agents has sought the Chief Minister’s intervention to reinstate the Bahrain Air service from Thiruvananthapuram. The Bahrain Air, which started service on March 15, offered low fares while airlines operating to the Gulf sector effected 30 percent to 50 percent increase in the rates. The Association had alleged that the DGCA’s decision to cancel the permission for the service was suspicious. “A planned effort to sabotage the development of Thiruvananthapuram airport cannot be ruled out,” the Association said.
