THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: One more person who was critically injured in the firecracker blast on the day of pongala at Vellayani Maha Devi Temple here succumbed to injuries the other day. The victim was identified as Vivek Kumar alias Unni,18, of Santhivila near Vellayani.

He died in a private hospital here on Friday night. With Vivek Kumar’s death, the toll in the mishap has risen to three. Velappan Asari,68, of Sarvodaya Colony, one of the injured in the blast, had died three days after the mishap.

Vishnu, 22, another one who was critically injured, succumbed to injuries on April 4.  Vivek Kumar is the son of Sreekumaran Nair and Ambi Kumari. Vinod Kumar is his elder brother.
