THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Theeradesa Nethruvedi will not cooperate with the Manushyasagaram protest programme of Fisheries Coordination Committee against the State Government.
Nethruvedi president Veli Varghese told reporters here on Saturday that the UDF Government had booked the culprits in the two incidents involving ships in which fishermen were killed. The government also provided financial assistance to the kin of the deceased, Varghese said. The Nethruvedi also demanded the government to provide kerosene at Rs 25 a litre to fishermen holding kerosene permits.
