THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Road metal heaped on the Kottara Lane, Gowreesapattam, is causing problems for the local residents who also complain that the civic authorities are turning a blind eye to the issue.
According to a resident, the metal has been heaped on the narrow lane by a City Corporation contractor. The metal was reportedly intended for work elsewhere which was to have been completed by March 31. But now, the mounds have transformed into a threat to two-wheelers and pedestrians who use the cramped lane. The gate of a house also is blocked by the heap.
Although the residents complained to the Assistant Executive Engineer and the Assistant Engineer, no action was taken.
