The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Tuesday raised the demand for a separate investigation team to probe into the murder of its activist Vishalkumar.
“As Vishal’s murder is related to terror elements, the local police will not be able to bring out the truth. A separate investigation team can only bring out the truth,” ABVP state secretary M Aneesh Kumar said.
In a statement here, he also demanded banning of Popular Front and Campus Front alleged to be propagating terror in the country.
With the government itself giving an affidavit in the court that these organisations are a threat to the nation, Aneesh said that the Centre should ban these organisations in the interest of the country.
He said that the ABVP will conduct a march to all the district headquarters demanding a separate investigation to look into Vishal’s murder and also to ban the Popular Front and the Campus Front.
“The ABVP will launch a state wide campaign against terror activities in the campuses from August 2 to 9,” he said.
