THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: They came with 160 flowers to greet the Chief Minister. Students of classes VI and VII of the Navodaya School, Kottarakkara, visited Oommen Chandy accompanied by nine teachers as part of a study tour organised by the school.

They visited the Padmanabha Swamy Temple first and then came straight to the Chief Minister’s office. The first question - how were the riches of the Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple protected? The Chief Minister replied that it was the temple’s wealth and said more policemen would soon be deployed for protecting it.

Then somebody wanted to know about the Kochi Metro Rail Project. Chandy replied that the project would soon be implemented and there will be no delays. To various questions, he also replied that monorail projects were proposed for the cities of Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode.

He also explained the working of his website and told the youngsters how a stranger had entered his office and sat on his chair, which was reported to him by another person in the Gulf who watched it all on the website. He also advised them to study well. They left after presenting him the flowers.
