IMA urges government to revise salary of nurses

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has urged the State Government and the hospital managements to revise the salary and service conditions of the nurses and come up with a solution to the ongoing strikes.

Though IMA believes that the agitations should be conducted without affecting the essential service, the decision to deal with the nurses strike, imposing ESMA, is rather unfortunate.

Since these strikes can affect the prospects of the nurses abroad, the IMA in a statement issued here the other day, also said that the nurses on strike should not cross the boundaries.
