Horticulture therapy in one more school

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Horticulture therapy for the slow learners and differently abled children studying in the regular school curriculum has been extended to yet another school in the city.

The project was inaugurated by S Vijayakumar, the councillor of Sreevarahom ward, at the school attached to the Government Teacher Training Institute, Manacaud. Associate director of research, Kerala Agricultural University, Sivaprasad; investigators B R Reghunath and Beela G K, professors at Kerala Agricultural University; PTA president Sreekumar; block project officer Noble; school principal Lizy Kuriakose and senior assistant Deepa spoke at the function.

The project aims to develop the slow learners and the differently abled children through horticulture training and therapy. Similar projects have been successfully carried out in seven other institutions in Thiruvananthapuram district.
